God call the Israelites to be His obedient children and not to be warriors. He would do their fighting as they were obedient. The miracles God did as He led them out of Egypt and eventually into the Promised Land had made an impression on the people of Jericho. Because of that witness Rahab believed in the Living God of the Israelites. She was willing to risk her life and hide the spies. The result was salvation for Rahab and her family as well as her inclusion in the Hebrew's Hall of Faith.
