Are You Ready?
Matthew 24:44 (KJV)
Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
If you died today, are you 100% sure that you would go to Heaven? You can know for sure.
1 John 5:13 (KJV) says:
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
1. We are all sinners and we do things we know are wrong.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 (KJV)
2. Sin has a penalty.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 (KJV)
3. Jesus Christ, God's sinless Son, paid our penalty.
But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 (KJV)
4. Salvation is a free gift.
For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2: 8-9 (KJV)
5. When you *repent of your sins and surrender yourself to Jesus Christ, you receive salvation which means you have eternal life.
*Repent means to turn from doing life your way to doing life God's way.
. . . For I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance. Matthew 9:13 (KJV)
For whoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved. Romans 10:13 (KJV)
God loves you regardless of where you came from or what sins you have committed. He loves you so much that He sent His only Son to die for you so that you may have eternal life.
This is not a decision of the mind alone. At some point in your life Jesus will make Himself known to you. During your encounter with Him you will either become burdened by your sin and repent or you will resist the truth that you have just read.
If you resist, you will not have eternal life. There is no other way to obtain eternal life.
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one cometh unto the Father but by Me. John 14:6 (KJV)
